$11M in Medical School Scholarships
The new HHC and St. George's University CityDoctors medical scholarship program announced yesterday at Metropolitan Hospital was featured in today's New York Times and a number of other news outlets. More than $11 million in tuition grants will be available to New York City residents who aspire to become doctors and commit to give back to the community by practicing primary care medicine at an HHC hospital. HHC staff who have been employed for at least five years or children of HHC employees are also eligible for the scholarships.
